Postmancer Help
Everything you need to get started and make the most of Postmancer.
The Postmancer sidebar will appear inside Ghost Admin immediately.
Ghost(Pro) users: use your .ghost.io admin URL when connecting, not your custom domain. Your admin URL looks like https://yoursite.ghost.io/ghost.
Your Ghost API key is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's secure storage. It is never sent to Postmancer's servers.
AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini regularly recommend your site in conversations — but often link to pages that don't exist. Readers click, hit a dead end, and leave. Postmancer tracks every one of those visits and shows you which AI sent them, which URL they were looking for, and how many times it happened.
The beacon is a lightweight snippet you add to your Ghost site once. It watches silently for visitors arriving at pages that don't exist.
The beacon is now live. Hits will start appearing in the panel as they occur.

When a visitor arrives from a new browser tab with no referrer — which is common when someone copies a URL from a ChatGPT conversation and opens it manually — the source shows as direct. This is expected and still represents AI-referred traffic.
Ghostwriter generates full blog posts inside Ghost Admin. You provide a brief, it builds an outline, writes every section, and places a formatted draft directly into Ghost's editor.

Ghostwriter transcribes the video and writes an original article from it. It does not transcribe the video verbatim — it extracts insights and restructures them for reading.
Works best with publicly accessible articles. Paywalled or login-gated content may not be readable.
After generation you reach the review screen:
To refine: describe the changes you want in the Refine field and click Apply refinements. You can refine as many times as you need.
Internal link suggestions are generated automatically. Each suggestion shows the recommended anchor text and the post to link to. Apply individually or use Apply all high-confidence to insert all strong matches at once.
Click Proceed to publish to reach the publish screen:
Click Create post in Ghost. The post is created in your Ghost site and opens in the Ghost editor.
Each Ghostwriter run costs 10 AI credits.
Narrate converts any Ghost post into an audio file using ElevenLabs' multilingual text-to-speech models. The audio player is embedded directly into your Ghost post.
Narrate reads your entire post, converts it to speech, uploads the audio file, and embeds a player in the post. Refresh the page to see the player in the editor.
Voices are sourced from ElevenLabs and include a range of premade and professional options. Select the voice that best matches your content and audience before generating.
Narrate automatically detects the language of your post content and narrates in that language. No configuration required.
If a post already has audio embedded, the panel shows an Audio embedded indicator. To remove the audio, click the trash icon. To replace it, remove the existing audio first, then generate again with a different voice.
Each Narrate run costs 15 AI credits.
Content Manager gives you a faster, more powerful interface for browsing and managing all your Ghost posts and pages.
Select multiple posts using the checkboxes, then use the bulk action bar to:

Redirect Manager lets you create and manage Ghost URL redirects without editing JSON files or using the Ghost CLI.

Find & Replace lets you search for text across your entire Ghost post archive and replace it in bulk.
Mermaid Diagrams lets you write Mermaid syntax and preview rendered diagrams inside Ghost Admin, then insert them into your posts.
Math & Formula Renderer lets you write LaTeX expressions and render them inside Ghost posts.
Lorem Ipsum Generator creates realistic placeholder posts in your Ghost site — useful for testing themes, layouts, and designs with realistic content and real photos.
Configure:
Enable feature images to automatically fetch photos from Pixabay and upload them to your Ghost media library. Each post gets its own photo. Configure:
Enable in-body galleries to insert a Pixabay photo gallery inside each post. Configure the number of images per gallery (2–6) and the number of columns.
Generated posts are tagged automatically (default: lorem-ipsum). Use Content Manager to filter by that tag and delete all lorem ipsum posts when you're done testing.
Choose which tools appear in the Ghost Admin sidebar. Toggle any tool on or off. Settings is always visible. Changes take effect immediately.
View your current plan, AI credit usage, and billing reset date. Upgrade to Pro or manage your existing subscription from this panel.
To connect a different Ghost site, click the Postmancer icon in your Chrome toolbar, clear the current URL and API key, and enter the new site details.

Credits reset monthly on your billing date and are shared across Ghostwriter and Narrate. Non-AI tools have no credit cost and no usage limit.
